Account data: your email address and a unique account ID when you create an account, including through Sign in with Apple.

Health and nutrition data: meals and foods you log, calorie and macro targets, body-weight entries, step counts, and wellbeing entries. Step data is accessed only after you grant the relevant device permission.

Photos and text: food photos, nutrition labels, and descriptions you submit are processed to calculate nutrition values from the information provided. They are not intended to identify you.

Purchase data: Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat helps us manage subscription status. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

Technical data: information needed for security, operation, diagnostics, and crash/error handling.

We process data to provide and secure Macroful, calculate nutrition values, save and sync your entries, show progress and insights, manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, and maintain the service. We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

When you use AI-assisted scanning or text features, the submitted image or text and the information required for the request may be sent through our backend to AI service providers. The processing is used to return the requested result. AI-calculated nutrition values depend on the information provided and may differ from actual values. You can review and edit them before saving.

We use service providers needed to operate Macroful, including Supabase for database/authentication, Apple and RevenueCat for subscriptions, AI providers for food/image/text analysis, and Open Food Facts for public barcode data. Providers receive only data needed for their function. Depending on the provider, processing may take place outside your country. Where applicable, transfers are handled using the safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.

When you visit macroful.app, the hosting and delivery infrastructure may process technical connection data such as IP address, requested page, date and time, browser/device information, referrer, and server log information. This is used to deliver the website securely, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse.

With your consent, our website uses Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to understand page visits and interactions. This may involve analytics cookies, device/browser information, visited pages, and interactions, and data may be processed outside the EEA, including in the United States. The Google tag is loaded only after you give consent; without consent, no analytics data is sent to Google. Analytics cookies are only used with your permission. You can withdraw consent at any time via Cookie settings in the website footer.

The language selector can store your selected language in your browser's local storage so the site can remember that preference. This storage is used for the user-requested language function.

Where the GDPR applies, processing necessary to provide requested app or website functions is based on performance of a contract or steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Security, service reliability, abuse prevention, and necessary server logging may be based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where consent is legally required, processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw for the future.

We keep account data for as long as your account exists unless a longer period is legally required. You can delete your account in the app. Server logs and technical records are retained only for as long as needed for security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations.

Depending on applicable law, including the GDPR where it applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, receive a copy of your data, or withdraw consent. Contact support@macroful.app to exercise your rights. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority.

Macroful is not directed at children under 13 or below the minimum age required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal data contrary to applicable requirements, contact us.

We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service, including encrypted transmission where supported. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy when our service, providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and update date are published here.
